We Need Your Help To See Again!

Columbus Cocker Rescue is in need again to help 2 blind cockers get a chance to see again. Cranberry and Nola are going to be receiving cataract surgery to correct their blindness. Both girls are loving, never met an animal or person they didn't get along with, and are so deserving. They both came from horrendous conditions prior to rescue, but are still sweet & friendly dogs.

We need YOUR help in raising the $5000 (total) it will take to give both girls, their chance at a sight filled world again. Help us, help them have the chance to see again.

If you can help, even a little, please give your TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation via paypal, or send a check or money order to our

PO Box 715, New Albany, OH 43054

*When you send a donation, please let us know it is for the "2 girls cataract fund". *

Hello - My Name's Elle

Age: 8-10 years old
Sex: Female
Size: 21-25 Pounds
Breed: cocker spaniel
CCRID#: 1338

Just the Facts
12/12/12 Update: Due to Elle's severe chronic lung disease, she will not be available for adoption. Her foster mom has agreed to keep her in permanent foster care and to continue caring and loving her for the remainder of her life.

We know there is a BEAUTIFUL girl under this mop of fur!! Elle was surrendered to a shelter because one of the parents is ill and cannot care for her. She was aged at between 7 and 9 years old and was spayed. She is described as friendly, gentle, affectionate & eager to please. She road great in a car and is super friendly to all she meets. She shared her former home with another dog. For more information on fostering or adopting this little cutie, please call Barb at 614-554-1300 or Jessica at 614-554-7755.

Update from foster Mom: Elle Mae, as I like to call her, is a very sweet girl . . . her chocolate coloring is very appropriate! She gets along well with my three other cockers and a cat. She isn’t a lap dog but she is my inquisitive little shadow following me everywhere, some might call her a “busy body”. She doesn’t play fetch, but likes to chew on her toys. She loves to be loved on . . . she stops in her tracks, then sits very still as you love on her and soaks it all in. She rides well in the car and loves to take walks around the neighborhood. As for her medical status, she came into rescue with a terrible cough. This has been somewhat of a medical mystery. After ruling out kennel cough, we believed that she had allergenic bronchitis. But, her probable diagnosis has recently been changed to pulmonary fibrosis or chronic bronchitis. Medications have kept her coughing to a minimum. We also suspect that she has a thyroid condition, as she has some hair loss on her back. She is just such a happy gentle soul! It is hard not to fall in love. Is there room in your home and heart for this special little girl? Stop by and meet Elle Mae at Mingle with our Mutts every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month at Franklin County Dog shelter.

I now have my own Facebook page - look for me ElleMaeRussellStover!
